Less Competitive Keyword to Rank High in Google Search

Choose a less competitive keyword to rank high in Google search. Don’t confuse with popular keyword and competitive keyword. Popular keywords are those which have more search but competitive keyword are those which have more competition.

It seems like popular keywords should have more competition. Sometimes it is true but not all the time.

The point is here we need to choose it wisely. Let’s take an example

Google search ————————————————– 1o,ooo,ooo  ——————— high

Keyword ——————————————————– 10,000,000  ——————– high

Keyword to rank high in google —————————— 1,000,000 ———————- medium

Keyword to rank high in Google search ———————- 100,000 ———————— low

Less competitive keyword to rank high in Google search – 10,000 ————————– low

Now if I target only keyword (it’s itself a keyword) then I will have maximum search but high competition.

Google search has same search volume and competition.

If I have chosen a keyword to rank high in Google search which has same meaning but have less search volume and less competition. It still has some decent volume but less competition.

I have chosen a less competitive keyword to rank high in Google search. It might seem low volume search but here can target specific audience which might actually interest in my article.

Do’s and don’t

1.     Choose keyword wisely. Like I have chosen a Less competitive keyword to rank high in Google search.

2.     Don’t choose only because of search volume.

3.     Choose a less competitive keyword.

4.     Higher search volume doesn’t mean you will get all the traffic.

5.     Use long tail keyword because you can target those people who actually interest in your article.

6.     Even if you able to get traffic with that high volume short keyword. You will have more bounce rate.

Don’t take a decision with emotions. There is big player already ranked for some keyword. You can’t fight with them with a little effort. If you want to fight you should have equivalent strength. Target something which is actually possible for you.

By choosing a Less competitive keyword to rank high in Google search is kind of trick. First fight there where you can win and gain confidence.
